The improvements made to this batch of Class 37’s really have improved on what was already an outstandingly detailed model and made it even better. The operating performance is just as smooth as expected with the added onboard sound and speaker set up what’s not to like!

Fantastic model. Runs so quiet and smooth with the stay alive as standard. A lot of detail maybe too much as some tiny parts easily come off but still well done Accurascale.

I think we all know that Accurascale are the brand leader in OO gauge models and this BR MK2C Coach is no exception. I'm glad I preordered and look forward to what's yet to come.

Ordered these and decided to fit in my Adams Radial tank - I think they are fantastic and would definitely buy again. Pre coloured, they look brilliant and are relatively easy to fit using a little PVA.

I needed a crew for my accurascale p class and boy oh boy ain't they great! My model can now run the heritage line safely with crew on board. Love that these come already coloured which is very cool!

Accurascale helped me out - I'd bought a buckjumper from a third party, however the model came without couplings. I contacted accurascale and they arranged to send me a set in the post! Top service and brilliant communication.

This is another superb Class 66 from Accurascale and the distinctive GBRf BR livery on 66789 is particularly well executed. The finish is crisp, the fine details are neatly fitted and the locomotive has a reassuringly solid feel.
I purchased the DCC-ready version and subsequently fitted a LokSound decoder. Installation is refreshingly straightforward because the decoder socket is accessed through the removable roof panel, rather than having to unclip and remove the entire body. This is one of the strongest features of the original Hattons design and greatly reduces the risk of damaging or loosening body-retaining clips.

Running performance has been excellent, with smooth low-speed control, reliable electrical pickup and no problems negotiating pointwork. Once fitted with the LokSound decoder, the locomotive performs and sounds extremely good.

My only regret is not purchasing the factory sound-fitted version originally, as it would have been considerably better value than buying the decoder separately afterwards. Nevertheless, the DCC-ready option gives owners useful flexibility. In contrast to the quality-control problems I have experienced with some Class 37s, Accurascale’s Class 66 has proved dependable and exceptionally well engineered.

After the problems I have experienced with Accurascale Class 37s, this Class 66 shows what the company can achieve at its best. It feels solid, runs superbly and has been completely reliable: smooth at low speed, sure-footed through points and beautifully finished in GBRf triple grey.
I bought the DCC-ready version. The removable roof panel, shown open in my photograph, gives direct access to the decoder socket without removing the body. This is a major advantage over older Lima-derived Hornby Class 66 models, where repeatedly unclipping the body can loosen or damage the retaining clips. It is an excellent feature of the former Hattons tooling, refined further by Accurascale.
My only regret is not buying the factory sound-fitted version, which would have been better value than purchasing a LokSound decoder afterwards. I will review that separately. Unlike the Class 37s with which I have experienced several QC and running issues, this Class 66 has been bulletproof. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic loco, my favourite class of all, popped in a DCC non sound chip and all good, running like a dream.

Great to see the improvements on the already excellent Accurascale class 37. Arrived intact and ran smoothly straight out of the box with operational fan and improved sound project raising the bar further. It would be great to see use being made of the spare higher functions - I've added parking (all red lights on) and rear cab light. Engine room detail adds refinement, but how prototypical are the red windscreen wipers?
